Family Resource Specialist

I’m so happy you're here! I’m Kimberly Knutz and I am a Family Resource Specialist here at The Therapy Innovation. I have so many creative interests, but right now I am especially interested in painting and making jewelry. I find it very relaxing and it gives me a sense of flow where time fades away and I’m just present in the moment. I have four gown boys, well they are young men now but I still call them my boys. I look forward to our family barbeques and just spending time together. I also care for my elderly mother who is kind-hearted and has a sharp sense of humor. I’m excited to see what this year has to bring!

Clinical Experience

I find it most rewarding working with children and families. It’s where my heart truly is. My background as a Child Development Teacher, Family Service Advocate and Home-Base Visitor, has given me the privilege to work very close with families. As a Child Development Teacher I’ve had the privilege in guiding children’s growth with care and research based teaching practices, while also offering parents insight into their child’s growth and development. As a Family Service Advocate I’ve supported parents to access community resources to meet their needs. As a Home Visitor I’ve had the privilege in enhancing parent’s knowledge to help support them in their role as primary educator in their child’s development. Together these roles have strengthened my ability to meet family’s needs with compassion and support.
